Action Formers - Disposal (MTMTE Tailgate) in hand by wulongti Action Formers - Disposal (MTMTE Tailgate) in hand by wulongti
I got the first test print in hand of the first character in my new line of Action Formers: Disposal. This is just the first prototype so there are some changes and fixes that need to be made but overall I'm happy with how it's turned out. It's not ready yet for folks to purchase their own but soon. Likely next month. In fact if you'd like a chance to get your hands on one of these guys early, be sure to like me on facebook: [link]

Next week I'm going to be looking for volunteers to test out the next round of changes and improvements on this design as well as the other 3 armor designs I've modeled, including a version that will be upsized from about 2" tall (like the one pictured) to about 3.5" tall. I'll be posting a secret link to be able to order them that won't be available to the public so if you want one before the public release, keep your eyes peeled :D

sadly this tiny one was never good enough for public release :(
(the joints are hella loose)

I'm working on a larger one (about 4" or so) that should scale nicely w/ your deluxe figures.  Still testing it though.  I've also got a more SD looking one that's in the shop: www.shapeways.com/model/163005…

But shapeways recently redid their cost algorithm and I need to rework the model to get the cost back down to under $20

Oh my goodness he is just too precious! Amazing job really, your attention to detail is wonderful and the light piping looks fantastic. His parts breakdown is a nice shot, they way you have designed his jointing makes him look super posable.

Thank you so much! Yes he is quite posable and I'm rather proud of the amount of articulation, detail and light piping I was able to get into such a small figure. He's been redesigned since this test print though... I've opted not to have the internal skeleton just because at this scale it makes the joints super weak :(

Nearly finished up with the redesign for the 4th figure in the wave and will be ordering those test prints soon ^__^

I can see how the internal skeleton might hinder a figure his size though your internal skeleton structure is wonderful!

That is so exciting that 4th figure is nearly done with it's redesign. Awesome job!

it totally is. I feel like I'm practically holding my breath the whole time hoping that nothing will go wrong. It's even worse when I have some of my fans beta testing stuff for me.. :/
